eautiful silk fabrics that have all the splendour of past epochs transform Frederike’s rooms into a little pleas- ure palace. The elegant bedcover is made from two dif- ferent silk fabrics. The rich centrepiece decoration is hand woven. Unicoloured silk frames the precious textile. The blanket is finished off with a scalloped edged in felt that is decorated with little embroidered flowers. The same flowers, again combined with the felt of the scalloped edge, can be found in the white woven decoration on the quilt, which also features many other hand-worked decorative elements: little white pearls, mother-of-pearl buttons, glittering sequins shaped into flowers and noble embroidery pieces that represents dots. The reverse of the cover and the filling are made of cotton. The upper part of the transparent curtain is made of organza silk; in the lower part the same silk fabric as that decorating the centre of the patchwork quilt was used. It has the same decorative motifs. The curtain has small ties for hanging. On the front side the cushion features only the decorated and richly decorated silk. The back side, where the zipper is, is made of solid colour silk.
